Getting MagnetcallyMagnetically Coupled Print Platform Out

This may win awards as the dumbest question asked here, but here I go anyway. I got my BoXZY (Yay!) I'm a software guy, and I'll admit that several thousands of dollars of hardware scares me a little (don't want to break anything). Anyway, I think the magnetically coupled print platform is in a sealed manila envelope under a metal platform that is much higher in all of the pictures and videos that I have seen. I have no idea how to raise this platform to get the print platform out. The answer might be that I have to hook it up to a computer first to do that, but I don't want to attempt that until someone tells me that that is the solution. Also feel free to correct my terminology if I'm not using the correct jargon. I have to learn sometime. Thanks!
