When 3d printing the machine starts out from machine home. When running g-code from a program like fusion 360 for cnc routing you set the home via G-92 as in the guide. This is what you want as you know where the stock begins and ends and where you set zero in your file. I've tried using the machine zero in xy as a reference for tool changes but not convinced that is the best strategy as the machine homes via a couple of touches of the limit switches. I'm on 3d printing at the moment but plan to get back to milling very soon. For a good overview of making a cam file to send to Boxzy try [|Lars Christenson]
