Gabe, this happened to Arjan, he moved the computer closer to BoXZY and I believe replaced the USB cable with a shielded one.

Okay I will try that tomorrow and get back. Thank you!

P.S How can one tell if the cord is shielded ?

I didn't use a shielded one, I removed the extention cord I was using.

But a shielded one sounds like a great idea.

Does it always happen on layer 5? I had that problem when I was doing my taxes...it started an update for the federal return. Another reason to hate taxes.

I had all sorts of issues with the stock USB cable. The way I fixed it was to get one with a ferrite core on it, and magically, all of my problems went away - I had the same issue where it'd just stop printing at random times with timeout errors. Something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MQ2...

I tried different OS's (I'm on a Mac running Parallels) like OSX, Windows 7, 8, 10, bootcamp, etc, and nothing worked until I put that stupid magnet on the cable and then it's been perfect since.
