3d printing head voltage

What is the voltage going to the 3D printing head. is it 12 or 24 volt?

19V going to the head on a 12V heater cartridge I'm told. It's controlled by a dead time controller and uses PWM to control the power levels. You can adjust power to it via "PID drive max", and "PID drive min" in the EEPROM settings. It's view-able through the config selection at the top of the interface when you're connected to your machine. "Drive max" controls how much power the heater receives when the fan is on 100%, "Drive min" controls how much power goes to the heater when the fan is off. You can adjust it from 0-255. Basically, 0 is 0 Volts and 255 is 19V. What you normally tune with PID tuning, for this only use the "PID P-gain/dead time" selection in the EEPROM. The number represents the expected dead time for the heater to get back up to temp after shutting off. If you make the number bigger the heater stays on longer between pulses, make it smaller and it stays on less time. So basically you can adjust available power with PID drive max/min, and time spent running with the dead time setting.
