Setting pause during CNC operation for tool change

What code allows me to pause so I can change the tool on CNC during operation.

I've tried M00, didn't work

Hi Rebekah,

I haven't had any luck with a pause method. I break up the toolpaths/g-code files based on tool changes. For each tool I export a single g-code file. I then load a file for the next tool after I have completed the prior tool file. It's very useful as you need to set the Z again for each new tool. This is to make the face of the tool at the same starting point as the prior tool (or where you have programmed the new toolpath to start from). It also allow you to change where the Z is referencing from in your new toolpath; You may want/need to reference a position on the parts surface after the prior tool work. Otherwise the new variation in bit length, depth placed in the collet, position in the gantry etc, will likely cause the machine to attempt a cut much deeper or shallower than expected.
