CNC Plugin for Boxzy

Hello,

I found this but I wasn't able to see this plugin into the Boxzy Software.

If someone can make it working it could be great. Because commande line is useless.

Have a nice day

I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but you can run BoXZY from Pronterface. http://www.pronterface.com

[Accidental delete of this comment from Arno Karner] "it looks like a nice windows dll, that does me absolutely no good on Linux does any one know of a gcode sender that will send g-code to the boxy on Linux, since there are g-code limitations on milling ? being able to single step through the g-code would be essential."

I will have to give printrun a try, but still looks like a slicer and printer, and doesn't address the cnc needs I have. To that end I have written a gcode_player, that allows me to single step through my gcode, or to play the rest of the file. Documentation on the actual serial protocol over USB would be helpful. I noticed even playing the gcode instructions one line at a time, and watching the milling, while creating a pocket in my crucible board to hold my PCB, one of the step pocket milling layers didn't work, but since I use absolute coordinates, the next step into the pocket removed twice as much material, and the pocket was the right depth, but the tolerance of the 100.5 mm by 70.5 mm pocket ended up being 72.0 mm by 101.5 mm :s So how do I know what firmware level I'm running on the boxzy, guess I just flash it with latest.

I was able to do this by finding the BoXZY interface inside of programs, selecting it and going into the "Plugins" folder, once inside "Plugins" I created a new folder named CncPlugin (case sensitive) and pasted this file into my new folder: https://github.com/ahd71/repetier-cncplu...

Once that is complete you must right click the .dll, go to properties and select "unblock". Then go to the folder you made of the same name that has the .dll inside it and de-select "read-only". You must both unblock the .dll and give the folder write privileges this way.

Works great, I love that you can move the X and Y axis with the arrow keys. Thanks for the link! I'll ask the team if they can add it to an interface update in the future.

Thanks for your help. I was close, Next time Iwill read carrefully the manual.

Now I think I will soon start to discover the CNC part of the boxzy.

In the Plugins folder I was not able to change the properties of the file.

(yes, i have admin rights, thank you microsoft)

I moved the file back to my download folder, there I could unblock the file and remove the read-only flag. Then I copied it to the plugins folder and now it works.
