Z probing pin question

I would like to make a Z probing on my boxzy for CNC and Printing.

My question is this one.

If I put a ground on an aluminium sheet on the building plate and connect the bit router or printing head to the board, this will work as a switch maybe with some resistor.

But I didn't find where to connect it on the board except on a switch limit.

Do you know some free head on the board and their number on the mega or I need to connect directly on the mega.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Traditionally the Z minimum switch input is used, I believe. However, If the probe was installed in the cylinder, and you were using that input, there would be no minimum limit switch when no head was installed. You could change the detection type of the switch to always closed, then wire the probe and machine's switch in series to one input. So if either were activated, it would detect that position. It would be a simple modification that only required a variable # change in the firmware and a little wiring.

If you end up going the route of using an expansion and programming something, If be very interested in your setup!
