No just my computer with usb cable

Yes it’s the same exact set up. All I did was change the x and y chips that boxzy sent me. It worked fine until I changed them. I changed nothing else or added nothing

I apologize, I would have replied sooner, but this comment showed under your original post and not the thread with my questions where I was looking for it.

If you remove both the X and Y chip, and do not put anything in their place, does the machine connect and printer head heat up?

by

Just prior to you removing them, can you post a picture of them installed exactly as they are?

by

I removed the chips I installed and turned on the machine and it still did not connect. It’s like the the USB port is not recognizing the computer. It does not make the “sound” it usually does when it’s connected.

Are you using a BoXZY smart controller?

Update (01/18/2018)

Problem appears to be a bad board. Will report back once its replaced.

No just my computer with a regular usb cable that Ive been using since the beginning. The cable is working with my printer so the cable isn’t bad

by

Was this same exact cable and computer combination previously functioning? Did you add any new devices to your computer such as USB mouse or printers since BoXZY worked last? Does this specific computer have the Arduino software installed?

Try:

Config>Printer Settings> Connection> Port

Port should be set to whatever port matches your USB connection (Auto has never worked for me).

If it still doesn't work, I'd try switching USB ports on your computer and trying again.

I tried that and it still is giving me the same thing. I tried every USB port and it is not recognizing or accepting it. Any other suggestions? It was working 3 hours ago and now nothing
