G code format errors

I’ve been using Fusion to create some engraving files; however, every time I run the code, I get:

“Error:Format error”

Line 15 reads":

“N15 : G90 G40 G94*55”

Does BoXZY not recognize G code? What am I battling here and does anyone have some suggestions on a correction/work around?

.Also… It shows the printer head is detected, but I have it unplugged from the harness.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Daniel,

BoXZY uses Gcode, but there are many different format styles of gcode. Your error appears to be because there are 3 gcodes on one line. G90 G40 G94. There can only be one Gcode or M command on each line sent to BoXZY.

It appears as though you may not be using the BoXZY selection for the post processor. You will need to use that selection to create BoXZY specific gcode. G40 and G94 are not commands that BoXZY typically uses.

If your machine recognizes the 3D printer head when its not plugged in, the port the Arduino uses for temperature measurement has most likely been permanently damaged, or there is a short in the wiring for it.
