Introduction

Some people have reported issues with clogging nozzles. We have found that these clogs are not being caused by a mechanical blockage or thermal creep, but by melted filament being pulled high into the nozzle's cold end during heatup. This is due to an incorrect setting in the EEPROM; the solution is provided below.

  1. Before you begin, make sure that you are connected to your machine. You will not be able to make these changes without being connected. In the BoXZY Interface, select the "Firmware EEPROM Configuration" option under the "Config" tab.

    • In the BoXZY Interface, select the "Firmware EEPROM Configuration" option under the "Config" tab.

    • In the window, change the "Extr. 1 temp for retraction when heating" to 230 and the "Extr. 1 distance to retract when heating" to 3. These settings are highlighted by the red box in the second photo.

    • Click "OK."
