[title] Playing with BoXZY and Gcode
[* icon_note] Gcode is the control language that CNC machines use to tell a machine where to move in 3 Dimensional Space. This is represented by plotting positions in a Coordinate System along 3 independent Axis. The Gcode also controls the speed at which it will move, the extrusion rate of the 3D Printing Attachment and the power level of the Laser Attachment
[* green] Select the '''Print Preview '''tab then select the '''G-Code Editor''' button and you will now have access to the G-Code Editor Tab and G-Code Editor
[* blue] This is where your Gcode will be stored after you Slice a file or load your Milling file. You won't need to edit your Gcode until you have a mastery understanding of how it works, but let's play around with some simple commands
[* icon_reminder] ''Gcode'' is case sensitive and read line by line and each line is treated like a single command
[* black] Following the example in the second image, type each line into your '''G-Code Editor'''. You can ignore the comment lines, they are for your reference only and are not commands. They are the lines that begin with a semicolon ( ; )
[* black] Following the example in the second image, type each line into your '''G-Code Editor'''. You can ignore the comment lines, they are for your reference only and are not commands. They are the lines that begin with a semicolon ( ; )
[* black] Double Check the G-Code you just input into your G-Code editor. Remember the lines that begin with a semicolon (''' ; ''') are comment lines that will not execute as Gcode, they are there simply to explain the Gcode line by line
[* black] In your 3D preview window on the left side of your BoXZY Interface you will see your Gcode represented by blue lines, this is seen in the third image
[* red] Verify that your Attachment Mount does not have any Attachments in it, the clamp is locked, and the machine is in it's "home" position before you ''select'' the '''Start Print''' button in the upper left hand corner of the BoXZY Interface. Select '''Start Print''' and watch your BoXZY Move
