[title] Mount Your Material
[* icon_reminder] You will have to lower your Z platform by moving the Z in a positive direction to create the clearance you need to mount your material. Move it down far enough so that you can temporarily use the Milling Head to align your material without the bit touching the material.
[* icon_reminder] xicon_note] The Milling Test File does not cut all the way through the material, so you do not need to use the sacrificial board for the following steps.
[* green]black] Place a piece of wood that is at least''' 3.5" x 8" x 0.5" '''in dimension onto your Milling Platform. Align the 8" length parallel with the Y axis.
[* black] Align your material by temporarily inserting the Milling Head into the Attachment Mount. Move your bit so that its diameter is centered above the edge of the wood, as seen in the second image. Then move the Head along each axis at a time, aligning the edges of the wood to the bit at the end of each movement. Remove the head once finished.
[* black] Firmly secure the wood to the platform. We used nuts and bolts, as shown in the third image, but we recommend first time users [guide|139|clamp their material|stepid=779] before running the Milling Test File.
